Flags are how race control and marshals talk to drivers at speed. Meanings below follow the FIA International Sporting Code used by most international series.
Green
The track is clear. Racing can resume.
Yellow
Danger ahead. Slow down and do not overtake. A double yellow means be prepared to stop.
Red
The session is stopped. Drivers slow down and return to the pit lane.
Blue
A faster car is about to lap you. Let it pass.
Black and white (diagonal)
A warning for unsporting behavior, such as repeatedly exceeding track limits.
Black
The driver must return to the pits and is disqualified from the session.
Chequered
The end of the session or race.
